What i did AT NEW THING CO.
This is the core experience
Get a prompt from a business, pop the camera, look around and find a reward. It could be a discount, a gift card, a free donut. Whatever the business wanted to partner with the customer on. I shot this sequence at a local coffee shop on the A7R IV with the 135mm GM.
Jason Bender and I founded New Thing in the fall of 2023 because we felt like marketers didn't have enough UX firepower at their disposal.
New Thing's first product was Pokemon Go-meets-tangible value/rewards - as a service.
Outreach
One of the sales tactics we ran was to build these micro-campaigns with a full-fledged 3D model and to send them to marketing executives at companies we wanted to work with. It worked with several brands.
Working with auto brands
The launch of New Thing Co.'s Journey Thing product (multi-step AR rewards) was an absolute smash in Phoenix. Exceeded customer engagement expectations by +340% and produced so many smiles for visitors and brands alike. Amazing stuff.
